Profile:

Mark Steichen practices litigation in a variety of areas, with an emphasis on municipal litigation (defense of liability cases, zoning and annexation disputes), business disputes and personal injury defense.

• Member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Dane County Bar Association, Eastern and Western Federal District Courts for Wisconsin, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago and the Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin
• Speaker on litigation issues for continuing legal education for attorneys
• Honors graduate of the National Law Center, George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
• During law school, won the Mid-Atlantic Jessup Cup Moot Court competition and award for Best Oralist; served as a Notes Editor for the George Washington Journal of International Law and Economics
• Holds an undergraduate degree with Honors in Economics, History, Political Science and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison

Mark is an avid history fan. He is also active in training potential new lawyers. He serves each year as a coach or judge for the high school mock trial tournament and judges moot court competitions at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
