After 15 years of lawyering in Chicago, John has returned to his native Madison with hard-won, nationwide legal experience at the highest levels of practice. As a deal-maker, John has represented clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, as well as other asset purchase and sales transactions. As a litigator, John has tried disputes both in traditional court and alternative dispute resolution settings.

• Member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin
• Most recently, had his own firm in Chicago, where he focused on litigation, real estate, and business law
• Previously practiced at several law firms in Chicago, including Mayer, Brown & Platt (n/k/a Mayer Brown), Rosenberg & Liebentritt, P.C. (former captive law firm of real estate magnate Sam Zell), and Piper Rudnick (n/k/a DLA Piper)
• Graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as managing editor of the Law Review and on the Moot Court
• Holds an undergraduate degree in Finance, Investment & Banking from the University of Wisconsin - Madison
